Product Characteristics
- Material Composition: Made from a combination of engineering plastic reinforced nylon PA, toothed stainless steel sheet, and stainless steel, offering excellent durability, corrosion resistance, and strength for long-term use in industrial settings.
- Component Set: The kit includes 1 valve lock, 1 padlock, and 1 tag, ensuring all necessary tools are available for implementing valve LOTO procedures.
- Secure Locking Mechanism: Features a new-type opening that clamps tightly on the closed ring of the valve handle, preventing unauthorized operation and ensuring the valve remains in a locked-out state.
- Equipment Compatibility: Designed to lock large lever handles, T-handles, and other mechanical equipment that are difficult to secure. Also compatible with 1/8" (32mm) PVC stainless steel wire rope for wiring attachments when needed.
- Valve Specification Fit: Suitable for valves with a maximum handle width of 1.57in (4cm) and maximum handle thickness of 1.10in (2.8cm), including gate valves, ball valves, butterfly valves, and more.
Usage Method
- Identify the valve that requires lockout, ensuring it is a right-angle turning valve compatible with the single-arm design.
- Position the valve lock's single arm to secure the valve handle, utilizing the new-type opening to clamp tightly on the closed ring of the handle.
- Insert the padlock into the valve lock to secure it, ensuring the valve cannot be operated.
- Attach the included tag to the padlock or valve, clearly indicating the lockout status, personnel involved, and reason for lockout.
- If wiring attachments are needed (e.g., for additional security), use the 1/8" (32mm) PVC stainless steel wire rope to secure the valve lock as required.
- Verify that the lockout is secure and the tag is clearly visible. When the work is completed and it is safe to remove the lockout, remove the tag, padlock, and valve lock in sequence.
Application Scenarios
- Industrial & Mining Enterprises: Implementing valve LOTO procedures in sectors like chemical, power, and manufacturing to prevent accidental valve operation.
- Valve Maintenance: Securing valves during maintenance, repair, or inspection tasks to ensure worker safety and equipment integrity.
- Compliance Environments: Meeting safety regulations in environments where valve lockout is mandatory, such as in facilities with hazardous materials or processes.
